Each year, World Book Day, an UNESCO annual event, reminds us that every great story begins with a single spark of imagination — and at Ashwood Glen, we nurture that spark into something extraordinary.
Books open worlds of possibility, and we believe every student has a story worth telling. Storytelling is not only an act of creativity but also a powerful step toward becoming a confident, future-ready leader — one who can communicate ideas, connect with others, and shape a better world.
Earlier this school year, our community welcomed back one of our own alumni — now a published author — who returned to inspire our young IB learners. She read aloud from her debut book, All About Me, now available at Indigo Bookstore, and shared her personal journey of imagination, persistence, and publication.
Our students eagerly engaged, asking thoughtful questions about creativity, perseverance, and the writing process. Their curiosity and insight sparked conversations that may one day lead to books of their own — a true reflection of the IB Learner Profile in action.

To celebrate World Book Day, students came dressed as their favourite storybook characters, transforming classrooms into pages alive with imagination and joy. From brave explorers and magical creatures to beloved heroes and heroines, each costume reflected a unique story and the enduring love of reading.
Through experiences like these, our students develop deeper connections to literature and the world around them. They discover that words have power — to inspire, to create, and to make a difference.
At Ashwood Glen, we’re proud to nurture confident communicators, reflective thinkers, and lifelong learners — one story at a time.
Ashwood Glen has been voted Best Private School in Burlington in the Readers’ Choice Awards for 2024 and 2025 — a reflection of our community’s trust and our commitment to inspiring young minds through curiosity, character, and a future-ready education.
