This belief was at the heart of our celebration as we proudly marked Ashwood Glen’s 5th Anniversary — 5 Years & Thriving!

Although The Honourable Karina Gould, Member of Parliament for Burlington, was unable to join us on the day of our community celebration, we were honoured to welcome her shortly after for a personal visit. Her presence brought even greater meaning to this milestone, as she took time to learn more about our vision, our students, and our impact on the community.

As Burlington’s only IB World School for Junior and Middle Years (JK–Grade 8) — along with our Montessori Preschool — this anniversary represents both pride and purpose. It is the result of a clear vision set by our Founder, Sonia Abbas, and the strength of a vibrant, future-focused school community dedicated to inspiring tomorrow’s leaders today.

During her visit, MP Gould joined Kristina Shea, our Head of Marketing, Communications, & Public Affairs, for a meaningful conversation about leadership, education, and how schools like Ashwood Glen help shape a more inclusive, empowered, and sustainable future. She shared personal reflections and values that spoke directly to the heart of what education can truly achieve.
