~ Wendell Berry
This powerful message echoed throughout BurlingtonGreen’s Annual General Meeting, where Ashwood Glen Student Ambassadors proudly represented our school and shared their passion for creating a cleaner, greener future.
As part of BurlingtonGreen’s inspiring community gathering, our student leaders spoke about the eco-initiatives they are championing here at Ashwood Glen—from reducing waste to encouraging responsible energy use and growing food in our school garden. Their voice, confidence, and commitment were a meaningful reminder that sustainability starts early, and leadership begins with action.
Our Ambassadors have been contributing to BurlingtonGreen’s bold goal of 200,000 eco-actions, one thoughtful step at a time. Whether it’s tree-planting, composting, litter cleanup, or creating awareness campaigns across the school, these students are showing what it means to take ownership of their impact.
At Ashwood Glen, environmental responsibility isn’t a lesson taught once—it’s woven into who we are. Through daily practice, inquiry, and reflection, our students learn that every action contributes to a healthier planet.
As an IB World School, sustainability and global responsibility are embedded deeply within our PYP curriculum. Each year, students explore real-world environmental topics through:
Science investigations
Inquiry-led projects
UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The culminating Grade 6 IB Exhibition
These experiences empower students to explore issues like biodiversity, climate change, deforestation, and conservation—then turn their learning into meaningful action.
We’re incredibly proud of our Student Ambassadors for representing Ashwood Glen with confidence, kindness, and purpose. They remind us that young people aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow—they are the changemakers of today.
💚 A heartfelt thank you to Burlington Green for your leadership, vision, and dedication to inspiring the next generation.
