The first three years of a child’s life are the most formative, shaping their physical, intellectual,
social, and emotional development. During this time, children naturally absorb the world around them, laying the foundation for who they will become.
Our Toddler Program provides a nurturing Montessori environment designed to foster independence, language development, motor skills, and social growth.
Guided by caring educators and enriched with purposeful Montessori materials, toddlers are encouraged to “help themselves”—a core Montessori principle that empowers children to develop confidence, build their own identity, and experience the joy of discovery every day.
Toddler (18 months to 3 years)
For many Ashwood Glen students, our Toddler Program is the first step in a lifelong journey of discovery. Each day, our youngest learners are guided through meaningful experiences that build confidence and essential skills:
Practical life
Everyday skills like using a spoon or buttoning.
Fine motor
Building pincer grip with Montessori materials.
Language
Vocabulary, songs, books, and poems.
Sensory
Food prepration, finger painting, and tactile play.
Gross motor skills
Active play with sand, water, and climbing.
Independence
Dressing, eating, and self-care with confidence.
At Ashwood Glen, every moment is an opportunity for toddlers to grow, discover, and take their first steps toward independence.
