At Ashwood Glen, we believe every child deserves inspired teaching that sparks curiosity and builds lifelong skills.
Our specialized subjects for IB Junior Middle School — French, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Design & Maker Space (MYP), and Physical Education — complement the IB framework, fostering inquiry, creativity, collaboration, and global awareness.
Students also gain from immersive enrichment in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), where hands-on exploration and problem-solving ignite imagination and innovation.
With passionate educators and small class sizes, every student receives the personal guidance, mentorship, and opportunities they need to thrive.

French is more than a subject at Ashwood Glen—it’s a pathway to global citizenship.
From the early years through Grade 8, students are guided by a dedicated French language teacher in a dynamic, inquiry-driven program that builds fluency, cultural awareness, and communication.
Learning comes to life through authentic experiences—whether planning and hosting a French Café for parents or joining Manie Musicale Globale, a worldwide event where students celebrate and vote on Francophone music.
These opportunities make language learning interactive, engaging, and globally connected, helping students grow as confident communicators and open-minded leaders.

In our Performing Arts program, students are guided by our dedicated IB Performing Arts teacher, who helps them explore talents in music, drama, and performance.
Our music program develops true literacy — children learn to read music, compose, and play instruments. Drama and performance experiences help them speak confidently, collaborate with peers, and step into leadership roles. Integrated into the IB framework, each lesson connects to bigger ideas and global themes, making creativity meaningful and relevant.
Parents often see the transformation on stage — whether at a concert, exhibition, or presentation —when students shine with pride.
More than performances, these moments reflect skills they carry for life: focus, empathy, perseverance, and confidence to be themselves.

At Ashwood Glen, Visual Arts are where students’ creativity comes alive. Guided by our dedicated IB Visual Arts teacher, students work with a wide range of media — from drawing and painting to sculpture and mixed media — building both artistic skill and the confidence to express themselves.
Rooted in the IB philosophy, the program inspires students to observe the world more closely, think critically, and take creative risks. Every project connects art to culture, identity, and global themes, helping students develop originality and a strong artistic voice.
In the MYP Programme, creativity is further extended into our Design & Maker Space, where students engage in hands-on projects that emphasize design thinking, innovation, and problem-solving. This complementary learning experience empowers students to create, test, and refine ideas, building resilience, adaptability, and confidence for the future.
Parents see this growth firsthand through exhibitions and student-led galleries, where each piece is celebrated as a reflection of confidence, imagination, and perspective.
